Calmness or peacefulness is a mental state of peace of mind and freedom from outside disturbances. However, there are so many stressors in the world, so it can be challenging to stay calm and peaceful. So, how can we stay calm? Many studies claim that listening to music is an effective way to reduce stress. Furthermore, one's heartbeat matches the beat of a song (Fritz, 2008): faster music quickens the heartbeat, while slower music slows the heartbeat.
