Anger is an emotion characterized by a strong, emotional reaction in response to antagonism. Expressing anger can be beneficial to processing negative feelings. However, excessive anger can cause problems for your physical and mental health (American Psychological Association, 2008), such as increasing blood pressure (Anger May Harm Heart and Blood Vessel Health, 2024), and lead to self-harm behavior (988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, 2024). One way to help process anger is by listening to music. Contrary to popular belief, listening to "angry" music can mitigate anger and increase positive emotions (Sharman & Dingle, 2015). Listen to my Anger playlist on Spotify and look at the art to help process any anger. One form of movement to do while listening to this playlist is tai chi exercises.
